Home of the Throckmorton family since the 15th century and largely built between 1530 and 1550. Fine collections of furniture, porcelain and family portraits. There is a strong Roman Catholic theme to the family history with links to the Gunpowder Plot and the Civil War. 25 acres of gardens, two churches and a lake.

The owners have undertaken: a) to take reasonable steps for the maintenance, repair and preservation of the property, b) to keep the historically associated objects (HAO's) associated with Coughton Court and c) to secure reasonable access for the public to a minimum of 60 days per annum.
