A fine early Georgian house set in wood and parkland with outstanding gardens of international fame.

Access

Directions: South of A390 between Grampound and Probus villages. 7m WSW of St Austell. Access Details: Public access to Trewithen House and gardens is granted for at least 30 days per year from April to September including Spring and Summer Bank Holidays. Access is also granted at these times to the walks marked in blue, green and lilac on the map. Public access to the old walled garden is granted on at least 10 days when the house is open and by appointment to organised groups from horticultural societies. The owner's binding undertakings

The owners of Trewithen House, Grampound Road, Truro, Cornwall and all that land edged red on the map together with ancillary buildings erected thereon undertake to take reasonable steps: i to maintain, repair and preserve Trewithen House and ancillary buildings having full regard to its historic and architectural interest including where relevant a. to eradicate any dry rot and wet rot and any major beetle infestation b. to repair roof and rainwater goods in permanent and suitable material c. to repair stonework and brickwork in so far as repairs are necessary to protect the fabric of the building d. to repair or repaint or treat external woodwork where necessary e. to carry out any repairs found necessary to maintain the historic interiors f. not to carry out any alterations or modifications to Trewithen House without the approval of the English Heritage ii to grant public acc…
