BAYFIELD ESTATE

The Estate falls entirely within the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is a nationally important landscape of high scenic quality with wild and remote coastlines, rolling farmland, tranquil river valleys and quiet villages.

Access

As principal undertakings and see map. A brochure with a map of walks and other information on the Bayfield Estate is available at the Glandford Shell Museum and at the garden centre at Bayfield called "Natural Surroundings".

The owner's binding undertakings

i) That until the death of the person beneficially entitled to the property dies or the property is disposed of whether by sale or gift or otherwise, reasonable steps will be taken for its maintenance and the preservation of its character and for securing reasonable access for the public in pursuance of which we will abide by the terms of the Bayfield Hall Estate Heritage Landscape Management Plan of November 1996 drawn up in conjunction with the Countryside Agency. ii) In addition to the steps at (i) above the owner shall publicise the terms of the undertakings by: a) Providing, at no more than reasonable cost, a copy of the undertaking omitting our names, to any member of the public who requests it. b) Providing for the Revenue's use details of how the public may obtain copies of the terms of the undertaking as at (a) above, and keeping the Revenue informed of any change in these pa…
