
EDMONDSHAM ESTATE
An area of scenic and scientific interest that straddles the southern boundary of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Access
Directions: Off B3081 between Cranborne and Verwood, north west from Ringwod 9m. Wimborne 9m. Access is available at all times. There is a network of public paths and bridleways shown in purple and three further permissive footpaths shown in blue on the map, which will be available as from Spring/early Summer 2003.
The owner's binding undertakings
To take all reasonable steps for its maintenance and the preservation of its character and for securing reasonable access to the public. In particular: To maintain the existing network of permissive paths on the estate and, in addition, to construct the three further permissive footpaths shown in blue and numbered "1", "2" and "3" on the map, as follows: Path 1 - leading from the public highway to the east of Sutton Hill camp site northwards along Warwick's Lane for a distance of c.850 metres to the junction with Furze Branch Lane Path 2 - leading from Smallbridge Farm northwards between Furze Common Copse and Mill Copse for a distance of c.700 metres to the junction with the existing permissive footpath running west to east to the north of the said copses Path 3 - leading from Cowleaze Field North to wood on west joining the junction with the definitive bridleway at Standridge.
