The Goodwood Collection includes portraits from the 17th to the 20th century, equestrian and sporting paintings, continental pictures bought on the Grand Tour, and 19th century Scottish scenes. The furniture is both English and French, while the porcelain is both oriental and continental, 18th and early 19th century. Smaller objects include items of Scottish ceremonial dress, miniatures, orders and medals. The extensive archive is in the West Sussex Record Office in Chichester.
