The owner's binding undertakings

The owners have undertaken as follows:- To take reasonable steps to maintain, repair and preserve the designated property having full regard to its historic and architectural interest including where necessary: (a) to eradicate any dry and wet rot and any major beetle infestations; (b) to repair roofs and rainwater goods in permanent and suitable materials; (c) to repair stonework in appropriate matching stone and brickwork insofar as repairs are necessary to protect the fabric of the building; (d) to repair and repaint or treat external woodwork; (e) to carry out repairs necessary to maintain the historic interiors. To prepare a condition survey of the main house and subsidiary buildings, in conjunction with English Heritage, within twelve months of designation and that the findings of the survey will be implemented and reviewed within five years.
