The pictures included in this collection fall into two categories: 1. Family portraits, including persons connected over the years with the family, many by eminent artists. 2. Pictures built up contemporaneously reflecting changing taste over some 400 years in one family from 17th century symbolist artists, now unnamed, to Kyffin Williams today. The furniture and furnishings are representative of the contents of the residences of one family gathered over 400 years. Overall, the collection has been described as of historic and artistic interest and importance, particularly in Wales.
