Works of art and other objects. This collection consists of paintings, chiefly portraits, furniture and other works of art. The collection of portraits has been described as of considerable historic and artistic interest, containing Waldegrave family portraits throughout the last three centuries. The English (Georgian & Regency) and French (Louis XV & XVI) furniture is of historic interest because of its association with Horace Walpole and Strawberry Hill, Twickenham. There are works by Reynolds, Kauffmann, Gainsborough, Ramsay and Edward Lear amongst others.
