The owner's binding undertakings
1. To undertake all reasonable steps for the maintenance, repair and preservation of the property, having full regard to its architectural and historic interest, including where necessary: a. the eradication of any wet and dry rot and any major beetle infestation b. the repair of roofs and any rainwater goods in permanent and suitable materials c. the repair of stonework (in appropriate matching stone) and brickwork in so far as repairs are necessary to protect the fabric of the building d. the repair and repainting and treating of external woodwork e. such repairs as are necessary to protect the historic interiors f. the commissioning of a full survey of all the buildings forming part of the property (such survey to be updated on a quinquennial bases) and the agreement with English Heritage of a timescale for the most urgent repairs.
