The owner's binding undertakings
The owners have undertaken to: Take reasonable steps for the maintenance repair and preservation of Newhouse having full regard to its historical and architectural interest and, in particular, where relevant to: eradicate any dry and wet rot and any major beetle infestation; repair roofs and rainwater goods in permanent and suitable materials; repair stonework and brickwork in so far as repairs are necessary to protect the fabric of the building; repair and repaint or treat external woodwork; carry out repairs necessary to maintain the historic interiors; not to carry out any alterations or modifications to the buildings without the prior approval of English Heritage.
