Access

A selection of items from the collection will be on loan to the Ashmolean Museum for a period of 1 year in every 5 starting in September 2012. When not at the Ashmolean these items along with the rest of the collection can be seen without appointment for 5 days a year as part of the Heritage Open Days Scheme run by English Heritage at Chivers Farm, Stoke St Michael, Somerset BA3 5LD please see the attached link link for further details. At all other times the collection can be seen by appointment through the contact shown.

The owner's binding undertakings

1. We undertake with respect to the collection, that during our lifetime or until any part of it is disposed of whether by sale or gift or otherwise: (a) to keep the Collection, as a Collection, permanently in the United Kingdom and not to remove it temporarily except for a purpose and a period approved by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC); (b) to take reasonable steps for its preservation; (c) to take the following steps to secure reasonable access to the public: (i) the items in Part 1 of the schedule ('the Part 1 items') will be on loan to the Ashmolean Museum ('the Ashmolean') for display for a period of one year in every five years ('the loan arrangement') (ii) the loan arrangement will commence and the first such loan will occur in September 2012. (iii) we shall secure that the Ashmolean displays alongside the Part 1 items a note which includes in it that they are part of a larger …
