DESERTED MEDIEVAL SETTLEMENT lies within the parish of Widdecombe in the Moor. It contains the well-preserved remains of a longhouse settlement dating from the 13th and 14th centuries and provides good structural and archaeological evidence of a typical small manorial settlement of the period.
