The owner's binding undertakings
(a) To take reasonable steps for the maintenance repair and preservation of the property having full regard to its architectural and historic interest, including where necessary regards Kingston House: (i) the eradication of any dry and wet rot and any major beetle infestation; (ii) the repair of roofs and rainwater goods in permanent and suitable materials; (iii) the repair of stonework (in appropriate matching stone) and brickwork in so far as repairs are necessary to protect the fabric of the building; (iv) the repair and repainting or treating of external woodwork; (v) the repairs necessary to maintain the historic interiors; (vi) referring to English Heritage any proposal to alter extend or demolish any exempted buildings or to erect any new building on the exempted land.
