
ISEL HALL
The Hall dates from 1400 with a four-storey pele tower, Tudor and Stuart additions and 19th century alterations. It contains furniture and artefacts relating to the house throughout its history including family portraits by Joseph Wright of Derby.
Access
The Isel Hall estate is situated on the north bank of the River Derwent, 3.5 miles from Cockermouth. Access to the designated land is by public rights of way and permissive paths. Opening Times: 2017: Mondays, from last Monday in March to first Monday in October, including BH's 1.30 - 4.30 pm (last tour 3.30pm)
