CHESTERS ESTATE

Located on Hadrian's Wall, the area is of outstanding scenic and historic interest. The Estate lies almost entirely within the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site.

Access

Directions: 4 miles north of Hexham, west of Challerford on B6318. Public Access details: Chesters Roman Fort in the guardianship of English Heritage and open daily throughout the year except 24-26 December & 1 January. (English Heritage Telephone 01434 681379). Access to the remainder of the exempted property is provided throughout the year for riding and walking by means of rights of way and Hadrian's Wall Trail.
