
HOLDENBY HOUSE
Built by Sir Christopher Hatton in order to entertain Elizabeth I, it subsequently became the palace and then the prison of Charles I. Now a family home, the house is a splendid backdrop to a beautiful garden and falconry centre.

Directions: M1/J15a 7m north-west of Northampton off A428 and A5199. Access to the grounds on not less than 30 days a year from April to September including Spring and Summer Bank Holidays and to the interior of the house by appointment.
