To take reasonable steps for the maintenance, repair and preservation of the property, and for securing reasonable access to the public. As regards Ardington House, to take all reasonable steps for its maintenance and repair and the preservation of its character, having full regard to its architectural and historic interest, including where necessary: a. the eradication of any wet and dry rot and any major beetle infestation; b. the repair of roofs and any rainwater goods in permanent and suitable materials; c. the repair of stonework (in appropriate matching stone) and brickwork in so far as repairs are necessary to protect the fabric of the building; d. the repair, so far as is necessary, of the historic interiors.
