Directions: Approximately 6 miles NW of Helmsley, Yorkshire. Access details: Open all the year. Network of definitive public footpaths, two further public footpaths and one public bridleway are to be created.
The owner's binding undertakings
To take all reasonable steps for its maintenance and the preservation of its character and for securing reasonable access to the public. In particular : a. Prepare a Heritage Management Plan for the designated area to the satisfaction of The Countryside Agency, English Nature and English Heritage within twenty four months of the date of designation, the said Plan to be prepared in accordance with guidance issued for the preparation of such Plans by the Countryside Agency and the said Plan to be revised and updated every five years. b. Provide within twenty-four months additional public access as follows: Bridleway 1 - to upgrade an existing public footpath to a public bridleway leading from Low Crookleith, Bilsdale southwards for a distance of c.1912 metres to Beacon Guest Footpath 1 - to create a public footpath leading from the Clough, Bilsdale south-eastwards for a distance of c.…
