Former home of Sir Francis Bernard, the last British Governor of Massachusetts Bay. Continuous family occupation since mid-16th century. House altered in late 18th century in the Strawberry Hill Gothick style, Interesting garden and specimen trees.

Directions: Two miles north of A418 equidistant between Thane and Aylesbury. From London M40, junction 6; from Birmingham M40, junction 9 (Bicester/Wendlebury) or junction 8 (Thane). There is also a notice board just outside the main gates. The public opening dates for 2025 are advertised as May 7-9. 11-15, 26 & 28-30. June 1-6, 8-13. Aug 25 & 27-29
