DEENE PARK

Home of the Blundenell Family since 1514. A country house covering many periods from Medieval to Georgian and containing a fascinating collection of family furniture pieces and heirlooms including those of the 7th Earl of Cardigan who led the charge of the Light Brigade.

The owner's binding undertakings

To undertake That reasonable steps will be taken for maintenance, preservation and repair of the property and the objects including: (i) Maintaining Deene Park and the other buildings on the property in good repair with due regard to their historical importance including where necessary eradicating any dry and wet rot and any major beetle infestations; repairing roofs and rainwater goods in permanent and suitable materials; repairing stonework (in appropriate stone) and brickwork insofar as repairs are necessary to protect the fabric of the building; repairing and repainting or treating external woodwork (ii) To keep any conditionally exempted objects associated with Deene Park (iii) That prior approval will be sought from English Heritage for the alteration, extension or demolition of any of the buildings referred to herein any proposals for development or management which wil…
