Access
Public access is restricted to walkers, horse riders, pot-holers and mountaineers. Access for walkers and horse riders is via roadways and public paths as indicated on the map. Access for pot-holers is under the auspices of the council of Northern Caving Clubs by agreement between that body and the owners. Access for mountaineers is under the auspices of the British Mountaineering Club by agreement between that body and the owners.

The owner's binding undertakings
1. a To take the following steps for maintenance repair and preservation: i. To take the mandatory steps agreed and set out in the Heritage Management Plan (HMP) dated February 2024 to maintain the outstanding land and preserve its character including contributing buildings monuments and woodlands and to meet all relevant statutory requirements with respect to them. ii.
