Built in 1791 and destroyed by fire in 1908, it was rebuilt and furnished by Sir Robert Lorimer.

Monzie Castle is 2 miles North East of Crieff. Open to the public for a minimum of 25 days per annum between May and September, 10 days falling at weekends.

The owner's binding undertakings
The owner undertakes that reasonable steps will be taken for the maintenance repair and preservation of Monzie Castle and for securing reasonable access to the public as set out below in the schedule of management objectives. The owner will notify IR Capital Taxes immediately possession of the heritage property is relinquished or this property is disposed of whether by sale gift or otherwise. Schedule of management objectives: 1. No exemptible building or area of land will be altered, demolished or extended without prior agreement of Historic Scotland. 2. i) any necessary repairs to roofs and rainwater channels in permanent and suitable materials will be made; ii) all reasonable steps will be taken to eradicate any dry or wet rot and any major beetle infestation; iii) any repairs will be made to the stonework and brickwork insofar as is necessary to protect the fabric of the buildi…
