
TULLIBOLE CASTLE
Completed in 1608 it is a classic example of a Scottish tower house in a parkland setting. Contents include a collection of 18th and 19th century paintings and portraits of past owners of Tullibole Castle and their relations; including some by Raeburn, a collection of silver, and furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The Scheduled Churchyard is located on the Gelvan Road 1/2 mile to the NW of the Castle. Admission every half-hour with guided tours only. Free admission as part of Doors Open Day, last weekend of September. Open: Last week in August - 30 September: Tuesday - Sunday, 1-4pm. Scheduled Churchyard: Unrestricted access at all times from Gelvan Road.

The owner's binding undertakings
1. The owners have undertaken as follows: a) that Tullibole Castle and all the designated chattels will be kept in good repair with due consideration being given to their historic and architectural integrity; b) the chattels will be displayed in rooms to which the public have access, and will have access to a list of all the historically associated chattels in accordance with paragraph 4c below; c) there shall be no alteration, extension or demolition to any part of the castle without consultation with and the prior approval of Historic Scotland; d) notwithstanding the provisions of the General Development Procedures (Scotland) Order, there shall be no change of use to the designated land; e) no new structure, whether permanent or temporary, shall be erected without consultation with and the prior approval of Historic Scotland; f) a comprehensive, professional condition report for …
