At BRECHIN CASTLE, family portraits and silver of Scottish historical importance

BRECHIN CASTLE: The artistic high spot is perhaps the collection of portraits of the family and their associates from the 16th to the 20th century, which together form part of an exceptional historic ensemble. This also includes 17th century English walnut oak furniture and Scottish 18th century furniture, family silver from the same period and medals. The medals in particular document the history of a Scottish family that has made a significant contribution to British military history since the end of the 18th century.
