The collection will be available to view as follows. All conditionally exempt clocks, porcelain, and silver, as well as most of the conditionally exempt paintings and furniture are on public display on the main visitor route. These can be seen when the House is open from April to October, where the normal entry charge applies. Items such as some paintings, furniture, and Mauchlineware which are not on the main visitor route can be viewed during Collections Viewings, please visit the Mount Stuart website for further details at the following link www.mountstuart.com. The owner's binding undertakings
1. I undertake with respect to each Collection, that during my lifetime or until it is disposed of whether by sale or gift or otherwise: (a) to keep the Collection, as a Collection, permanently in the United Kingdom and not to remove it temporarily except for a purpose and a period approved by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC); (b) to take reasonable steps for its preservation; i) Objects in Part 1 will be on display on the main visitor route at Mount Stuart House, Isle of Bute, PA20 9LR when it is open to the public. ii) Objects in Part 2 will be available to view on a Special Collections Tour being run throughout the year at Mount Stuart House, Isle of Bute, PA20 9LR. iii) Objects in Part 3 will be available to view on the main visitor route at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire, KA18 2NJ when it is open to the public. iv) I understand that the provision of access without the necessity …
